We provide a complete academic program for deaf and hard-of-hearing
children. Regular school subjects, such as math, reading, social studies,
science, health, music, art, spelling, printing, and writing skills are
taught.
In
addition, training specifically needed by hearing-impaired children is
provided in the areas of : speech, lip-reading and auditory training (the
child learns how to best use whatever hearing she/he does have, with the
help of
amplification or a cochlear implant. The development of language
(English) is an integral part of every activity and subject taught through
out the school day. Class sizes are kept small to ensure the best learning
environment for our deaf and hard-of-hearing students. |
